This product is widely used in veterinary medicine for the prevention and treatment of hypomagnesemia, a condition characterized by low magnesium levels in the blood that can result in tetany and convulsions. In cattle, calves, and sheep, this condition can be life-threatening if not addressed promptly. In pigs, magnesium sulphate is utilized to reverse the malignant hyperthermia syndrome, a severe hypermetabolic state that can occur due to anesthesia or stress.

Magnesium is an essential mineral that plays a significant role in maintaining normal bone metabolism, nerve function, and muscle irritability. When magnesium levels in the blood are insufficient, animals can experience a range of symptoms, from mild to severe, including muscle cramps, tremors, and convulsions.
