CleanEar (100ml)

CleanEar solution is a gentle, effective ear cleanser for use in dogs and cats.

CleanEar’s formula includes acids that lower the pH and cause a slight swelling of ear tissues. This effect is advantageous because necrotic tissue swells at a faster rate than healthy tissue, making it easy to separate from healthy tissue. The result is that dead tissue sloughs off while the healthy underlying tissue remains undamaged, promoting effective healing. Additionally, the low pH environment discourages bacterial, yeast, and fungal growth.

Docusate sodium and propylene glycol are also present in CleanEar. These two substances contribute to the solution’s efficacy by allowing it to stay in contact with ear tissue for a longer period, serving as a solvent for excess grease and cerumen, drying out the ear canal, exerting a mild antibacterial and antifungal action, and facilitating the removal of dead tissue, scales, and other debris.

Indications

• Removal of crusts, excess wax, exudate and other debris from canine and feline ears.
• Removal of excess purulent discharge in cases of otitis externa, allowing better penetration of antibacterial ingredients.
• Removal of ear debris following ear-mite infestations to allow better penetration of miticides.
• Can be used in ears of dogs that like to swim.
• Preparation of the ear for other therapy.

Directions for use

Instill 5-10 drops twice daily in the affected ear. Massage ears gently to assist break-up of debris.
